In an attempt at fixing what should never have been created, Sonic Director Jeff Fowler tweeted in response to fan criticism of Sonic the Hedgehog’s design in the upcoming movie.
Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear… you aren't happy with the design & you want changes. It's going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be… #sonicmovie #gottafixfast ?✌️

The new trailer received major backlash from fans, most notably made against his human teeth as an attempt to humanize what shouldn’t been human.
No concrete updates have been given in regards to the fixes that will be made, but such quick action made by a major movie studio in response to audience criticism is unprecedented and a good move on the studio’s part.
But it doesn’t discount the fact that this movie is a silly cash grab aimed at appeasing one of America’s most glaring problems: the manchild epidemic.
Sonic The Hedgehog premieres on November 8, 2019 in the US, November 28 in Australia, and December 26 in the UK.
